There are two key ingredients to a truly outstanding martini: premium liquor, and the proper atmosphere. At Bar Louie, you'll find both.  The intimate, "I'm-getting-away-with-something" vibe here makes a perfect accompaniment to "the martini that most grown-ups" drink.  Take a few steps into the softly-lit interior, and leave the bright commercial bustle of your day behind you.  The rectangular bar sits close to the entry so that you'll be seen right away by your friends as they join you, but some say the semicircular raised booths along the walls are the best seats in the house.  You can keep an eye on all the action; yet still feel cozy.  Should you crave still more private seating, head for the dining room, with its views of the river and Cincinnati's dramatic skyline.
 
Be sure to enjoy your cocktail. If you're not a martini aficionado, don't fret; you can always order an electric green Honeydew or a pink Cosmopolitan.  The menu (yes, they've got a martini menu) gives you a choice of Absolut vodka or Tanqueray gin in your "Swank" martini, but why not aim higher? Try Ketel One or Level vodka, or Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray No. 10 gin.  In a matter of moments, the perfectly icy concoction of your dreams will appear before you.
